Table Wine Happiness

Table Wine Happiness

A Poem by Angelynn
"

A poem on mental health

"
Your happiness flows like wine
Saturating your every move
It drips off your lips
And colors your world
It’s ever plentiful
Always there, a constant companion
But my reserves are dry
And I ache for a taste of the life you know
To smile without thought
To laugh contagiously
To be free of the torment inside
But alas, my bottle is dry

A fine first poem, Angelynn. Using wine here works well, and I certainly read the mental health elements in this piece. The speaker conveys a loneliness and longing for connection, as if she's sitting alone at a fine restaurant, waiting for a date that never comes or calls.

This is a good site to help you develop your creative writing skills. Many exceptional writers and advisers here. Best to you.
