The windows of the soul

The windows of the soul

A Poem by Angilioth

i know that eyes are the widows to the soul but why is it that my eye seem very deep and dark everytime i look into them in the mirror it feels as though im getting sucked in is my soul really that far down and dark i thought it was brighter but i guess i was wrong but then someone told me i was wrong until you reached the bottom where your soul lays its so white and bright but i guess something is wrong it's locked up and caged but when you look at the one you love and they hold the key it's like magic and your bright white soul comes to the surface like a blooming flower and you realize that all it took was someone with love and a key to let it go

Self reflection poems are my favorite. People often paint this image on them selves of what kind of person they think they are but it's always the self meditation and reflection that reminds us of the demons locked in our subconscious. THe demons locked in our soul we try to bury everyday but can't. It's almost humbling. Thank you for this poem. I rather enjoyed it.
