Meet Me On The Runway!

As I drift away to sleep, a dream would form,

I saw you, and my heart was torn.

Your beautiful face, and electrifying smile,

And me visiting you would be so worthwhile.

As the morning sun rose, you were still in my head,

"I really wish I could see you..." Is what I said.

So early in the morning I made myself clean,

When I looked at the mirror, I felt like a queen.

I hopped into my plane and flew to your town,

Flying in silence, without a sound.

I rehearsed what to say in my mind,

To express these feeling that had my heart bind.

I opened the door to find you in all of your beauty,

No wonder you're a model, you're such a cutie...

As our eyes met, I struggled to speak,

And the butterflies made my knees oh so weak,

All this embarassment is no fun...

So I turned and away I would run...

Sitting in a corner I cried sadly,

I wanted to tell you my feelings so badly...

Rejection was one big fear...

You were my best friend, I held so dear...

I didn't expect for you to see me nearby,

All you did was sit next to me and wave "hi"

You mustered the courage and placed a hand on my cheek,

There were no words, we didn't have to speak.

All we did was look into each other eyes,

And leaned forward much to our surprise.

Our lips met in a small little kiss,

All my fears I would not miss.

I guess that kiss sealed away our friendship,

As we walked away hand in hand with a new relationship.
