Parasite

Parasite

A Poem by Anissa Kessel
"

This poem is inspired by a physical condition that I have to deal with everyday that feels like it will never end and that it's a parasite all over my body.

"
Suck me dry
Cover me up
Never let me go

Take away my will to live
Never leave me alone
No matter how hard I fight

Suck my blood
Suck my tears
Inflict pain all over

You are the parasite
You are my parasite
I am your slave

Cover me in scars
Cover me in bubbles
Cover me in red
Cover me in everything, but your parasite

This one certainly reflects a grim situation. I can't imagine what this malady must be, but it is a chronic condition that appears to be overwhelming. Besides medical resources, those of the spirit must also be sought.
