A star has fallen

A star has fallen

A Poem by Anjeline
"

It's a poem trying to tell you that all the powers needed to bring a change are in you. A person just needs to find those qualities.

"
Entangled in the shadows of darkness,
Far from the hallows of righteousness
In a hamlet full of distrust
A star has fallen on the crust.
A trouvaille so wonderful,
Turned every achromic colourful.
O ! a light so bright
Teaching every reticent to fight.

Blooming in the orb web of parochial hearts,
Extracting homology from colonial parts.
Standing stout like a pillar, supporting the tottering trust
To save us all a star has fallen amongst us.
It's name is hope, it's attribute is a desire
With determination as strong as fire
It's identity can be seen only when you are facing a cheval glass,
Yes it is you, no special to the world as the common brass
But conjuncture it that you are the trailblazer in a empire of mistrust,
And one day the palace will rise to say- a star has fallen on the crust.

The things I most enjoy when reading poetry are all here: originality, thoughtful relatable meaning, & using many unexpected details to show instead of tell (first rule of good writing). Some old-timers on this website might suggest that there's no need to explain your poetry in your opening line (below title). Your meaning is easy to catch & also it's interesting to see what our readers see in our writing that we didn't plan to convey. But of course, it's a choice we all make. Your word choices are bright & fresh: "teaching every reticent to fight" . . . "tottering trust" . . . "fallen on the crust" . . . which makes your message memorable (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Thanks a lot dear Kent :)
If we are brave enough we need seek no further than ourselves to find solutions. How many of us do that though? Oh to have the confidence in our own ability. Lovely choice of language and great poetic exptession here Anjeline.

What a wickedly delightful treat your poem is. Eloquently expressed, spectacular images flood the senses on reading this fine poem. That tells you to seek the truth within you and you shall find it.

I think you will go far my friend.. you are already on your way and need prove nothing.. just keep on writing.. I do agree with Margie (Barleygirl) about maybe not needing to explain your poem.. let the reader interpret... All Good Things, Neville

A very pertinent message in an eloquent poem. Loved the use of the 'cheval glass'.

You are welcome Anjeline.
Beautiful. Plenty of words which which are so dynamically aligned to the spine of thoughts and I loved the sentence, I quote “To save us all, a star has fallen among us”. It might be a linear point but when you expand this sentence, it travels non linear in all the directions.
This does give hope to lost souls. Stay blessed fellow artist !!
