Slave of my Ego.

Slave of my Ego.

A Poem by Anju.H
"

Your ego saved you when you were scared to ask for help, you accepted the help, forgot everything costs,now you became slave of your ego, surrounded by unreachable wall.

"
But I'm a slave;
Slave of my own ego
What is there to fight for?
you can't be free from yourself.
Nothing sinful:
In feeding your own saviour.

What is evil to donate
Some tears, some blood, some sweat,
to the one:
Who wiped your tears
buried your bruise
even with chilies.

"It'll keep you safe"
whispered my ego
"Won't I be called Saint;
Of my own"?
"You won't face the world
They're scared of your slavery
They won't allow you
You won't reach them
That's how you'll keep feeding me"

What is outside the wall?
I never wandered
If this is the way
to keep me safe
Let it be.
