Last Night

Dreams may come and I'll be there

As I lay beside you last night

Silently inside my dreams

My body trembled and shook

While my arms jerked awake in fear

Visions painfully caught up to me

That made my sleeping soul restless

Quietly you tightened your hold on me

In such gentlemanly, yet very strong way

Soothing my wretching, shaking body

Whispering loveningly into my ear

" Shhh my sweet lady, it's only a bad dream. "

Then you loosened your hold on me

While gently swaying me back into sweet bliss
