My Life

My Life

A Poem by Annica Nadie
"

It was originally for a school assignment, but I figured I'd post it up here and see what you all think. Cheers!

"

Verse 1: This is the story of my life
I can’t complain, it’s been alright
Grew in a kinda big family
Our bond is forever tight

My parents understand
When things just don’t make sense
My sisters are always there
Talking about boys and doing our hair

Chorus 1: This is the story of my life
Born in Ohio, in the summer sunlight
I made some good friends back then
Life was good, alright
What a story, what a story, what a story of my life

Verse 2: What would life be without a couple bumps along the way?
Nobody’s perfect, Rome wasn’t built in a day
So I learned to be good
And I cleaned up my act
And I never gave in, now that’s a fact

My brother sometimes gets on my nerves
But we’ve learned to get along
And we say to each other, “Hey, you were right”
Because sometimes people are wrong

Chorus 2: This is the story of my life
Living in Florida, in the happy sunlight
I hang out with new friends
Yeah, life is alright
Funny story, funny story, funny story called my life

Bridge: I’ve learned that you never give up
Never give in
In the end, you will always win
Just keep writing brand new chapters
Of the story of your life

Chorus 1 & 2

Final Verse:
This is the crash course through my life
I was born and I’m glad to be alive
And I’ll just keep living, just keep living, keep on living the story of my life

Just try to remember that this is for a school assignment - I had to write it quickly, so it was kind of a throw together kind of song. Thanks for reading!

About
I'm a music addict, I'll admit it right now. I wasn't born in that time period, but I love more bands from the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s than today. Some of my favorite bands are Queen, Whitesnake, and t.. more..
