coffee break

coffee break

A Poem by AnonHimMoose

van gogh would have made it

a manifesto for the miners' life

leaving their suffering in a rush

to move home for the ritual

of another waiting working day;

magritte would have seen

some eagles spinning on the glass

with the cigarette smokes reaching highs

where a flipped mountain would not

have been too heavy to stand;

picasso certainly could frame

the stability of the old sewing table

with the motions of fragmented clothes

knit around the cubic evanescence

of keystone brand nailing the circling motion;

and I stand just staring

at the cigarette someone has left

in a glass of shot replacing the ashtray

too far to reach for a fast coffee break,

begging the balancing brown on the sewing shelf

to not cry for a muse I might hardly handle

with the sign veritas of the old manufacturing toil

spilling the last drop I can't restrain to wonder to order
