War. The Truth of War.

War. The Truth of War.

A Poem by Epr0louge

My first ever poem posted to this site, written by yours truly. Enjoy.

Why fight evil, when 'tis immortal?

The children burn in the eternal flames of idiocracy,

They believe those lies told to them - and they drown.

The overcast clouds weep acidic pity,

Spreading alien, inhumane death,

Is it inhumane,

Or has war seeped into the hearts of everybody.

Crawling shadows suck the souls out of babies,

Bustling brutality dances through the streets,

A pointless battlefield amplifies the virus,

It has consumed all

Under Its spell, dulce et decorum est.

The old lie will never die.
