A cursed fate

A cursed fate

A Poem by Apolline Redwood
"

This is just something I wrote out of spite towards my parents...

"

They always think they've been through the same s**t

and that they had it worse because it was another time

So without a doubt it had to be harder and if yo weren't

working, you'd be eaten alive by life.

But jesus, give me a break, beacause I am so tired

of those lies, you don't live my life so please do not try.

You don't think I get it? Like I can't see you trying?

You act like you know what's going on

you weasel into my secrets, like I have something to hide.

I have chose to not tell you, there's a definit reason.

I know that when you think you've got it all figured out

you take what you think and make it all about you

it's like my problems aren't even mine

and you start to tell me that I should have known better

or that I've gone and messed up.

Now we're forever the bad guy until we fall into your roll

oh, it's a cursed fate to turn into you.

All I do now is pray that I'll be strong enough to withstand it

the transformation into you.

Oh god, what I would give to stay forever young.

Honestly not my best work but it was something I stumbled upon and thought "why not share the worst first?"
