As I Walk On..

As I Walk On..

A Poem by Arabdha

  Every sound fades to silence...
  life fading into voiceless stupor..
all that remains are the memories of a day spent...
and the silence that resonates within..
the world seems at peace as the darkness takes over..

But that can't put to rest the voice in my head
 that continues to ponder...
where I was,am and would be..
none but the one who made it all knows..
 my purpose i can't discern..

As I wander along the untreaded roads..
the world changes with the ticking seconds..
colors merging into the blankness of canvas..
transience taking over the fixed present..
 and as I move on..
things change as if they never were...
colorful hues bringing into life a new creation..
 as I walk on..

Absolutely love the power and the tenderness of this write Arabdha. The imagery was colorful and crystal clear. Change is not always easy, in fact may times it is excruciatingly difficult...but so very often, change is necessary for the completeness of our souls and our being. I must admit I read this a few times for no other reason then it felt and sounded good flowing from my mouth. I love when poetry makes me feel that way. Very heartfelt and honest. Beautifully written.

there is a lesson to be learned in these words. we have to move forward and not hold ourselves back from an inevitable future.

There is a confidence and strength that seems to rise in your words... Things around change, and we must move on in that stream, but there is that hope of new creation... faith renewed with each step... Marvelous!

This is a perfect new year's poem as you're walking away from something you once took part in, or something you once lived. Uncertainty is always a good thing to write about because there are so many other emotions that can pair up with it at different turns.

As I Walk On- a wonerful piece of poetry. The sad feeling embedded in it urges the reader to walk with the persona through each line. I also liked the flow of words and expression through this piece.

'As I wander along the
untreaded roads..
the world changes with the
ticking seconds..
colors merging into the
blankness of canvas..
transience taking over the fixed
present..'

Beautiful words, but yet they seem sad. The poem makes the reader think of things and how they want it, but how they always change and never turns out the way they perfer.
