As I Walk On..

As I Walk On..

A Poem by Arabdha

  Every sound fades to silence...
  life fading into voiceless stupor..
all that remains are the memories of a day spent...
and the silence that resonates within..
the world seems at peace as the darkness takes over..

But that can't put to rest the voice in my head
 that continues to ponder...
where I was,am and would be..
none but the one who made it all knows..
 my purpose i can't discern..

As I wander along the untreaded roads..
the world changes with the ticking seconds..
colors merging into the blankness of canvas..
transience taking over the fixed present..
 and as I move on..
things change as if they never were...
colorful hues bringing into life a new creation..
 as I walk on..

Absolutely love the power and the tenderness of this write Arabdha. The imagery was colorful and crystal clear. Change is not always easy, in fact may times it is excruciatingly difficult...but so very often, change is necessary for the completeness of our souls and our being. I must admit I read this a few times for no other reason then it felt and sounded good flowing from my mouth. I love when poetry makes me feel that way. Very heartfelt and honest. Beautifully written.
thanks for sharing Arabdha

A very peaceful poem filled with longing, for both the past and the future...I can see those swirling colors that meet at the present as we walk on. Your words are like a beautiful painting.

I felt like I was drifting off to sleep after a gloomy day, the sounds and memories slowly fading with conciseness, then at the end it was almost like waking up from a bad dream, it left me wondering if I would find the sun shining.

I could imagine this short but also ETERNAL journey that continues even after death, I could hear the silence you wanted the reader to hear, the colors fading and falling in raindrops as I walked in the street of my mind. Beautiful poem, thought provoking and tells alot about the author as a person.

There is a mystical feel to your poem, with the reflecting of thoughts on life and the world incorporating the Universal aspect of it all...I like this...
