As I Walk On..

As I Walk On..

A Poem by Arabdha

  Every sound fades to silence...
  life fading into voiceless stupor..
all that remains are the memories of a day spent...
and the silence that resonates within..
the world seems at peace as the darkness takes over..

But that can't put to rest the voice in my head
 that continues to ponder...
where I was,am and would be..
none but the one who made it all knows..
 my purpose i can't discern..

As I wander along the untreaded roads..
the world changes with the ticking seconds..
colors merging into the blankness of canvas..
transience taking over the fixed present..
 and as I move on..
things change as if they never were...
colorful hues bringing into life a new creation..
 as I walk on..

Absolutely love the power and the tenderness of this write Arabdha. The imagery was colorful and crystal clear. Change is not always easy, in fact may times it is excruciatingly difficult...but so very often, change is necessary for the completeness of our souls and our being. I must admit I read this a few times for no other reason then it felt and sounded good flowing from my mouth. I love when poetry makes me feel that way. Very heartfelt and honest. Beautifully written.
thanks for sharing Arabdha

Changes happen with every second .. this is very good a poem of retrospect..
Very well deserved win - Poems written quickly to me are usually better than ones worked on for days - a little melancholy and a lot nice to read.

This reminds me for some reason like moving on and then seeing how the world continues with us. Watching on the sidelines how things change into new as we remain the same walking along with out aim. Great write love this.

All things change dont they?
Some for better some not so, this poem has a sad feel to it, the picture sets the mood, a bride left standing alone at the alter, finally picks up the courage to walk on, who knows whats ahead, perhaps another broken dream, or just maybe happiness :O)
