The Emigrant's Poem

The Emigrant's Poem

A Poem by QuothTheRaven
"

It is a poem of an emigrant arriving at Ellis Island alone, surrounded by many strange people.

"
The movements throughout the world
they chill me.
The people I do not know
they kill me.

The hearing of another tongue
it scares me.
My foreign outfit
it bares me.

I see the world in
black and gray.
I sense the time
another day.

My perception is blurred
I feel hot.
I can't say a word
for my mouth, it moves not.

Author's Note

QuothTheRaven
I know there's a lot of different poem styles, but I just put it together really quickly before the ideas left me.
