Ritual

Ritual

A Poem by Archishman Rick

The traditionally wise,
I respect your enterprise,
Involving stern ritual,
With faith that speaks mutual.

But how is your holy fight,
In cryptic depths of the night,
When there is silent uprise,
Where strugglers ponder demise.

Values upheld to be true,
Wager how fortunes ensue,
Who thought the arms of just law,
Would safekeep each hiding flaw.

Show them what they wish to see,
With freedom of ecstasy,
So every bite on thick dust,
Can feed their hunger for trust.

With great events taking place,
We carry our master race,
But show me sweet ritual,
Where there is faith mutual.

A thought provoking write. As I have got older I have sort of turned my back on organised religion. I can't help feeling that religion causes too many problems. So much hatred as a result of it. One man's festival is another man's bonfire. I think you can be a good person without having a set faith. Just treat All people as you would wish to be treated yourself. That is my philosophy of life. Respect and tolerance in far more abundance.

I see your point totally and let no old racist f**k bossing around here tell you otherwise. A fight gets holy when you fight the bully whoever it may be. The lackeys and cronies will dub you bad but believe me you are proved correct as you go. Ritual with faith mutual? Always aspired. Freedom of expression and enterprise? All are entitled to it and not just some. Your poem is well outlined.

The concept of faith and ritual doesnt really mingle with mutual. Reason: man is evolved to dispute.Your effort to bring both together is good work.

I love that your poem is fresh & full of interesting ideas to ponder, but I'm not sure what point you might be making. This message might honor religious ritual or it could be a spoof against ritualistic rigidity. Either way, it's high achievement to write a poem so that those with opposing views can all see their point in your message. With religion & politics being so contentious to write about, this is the best way to approach it without getting people riled! *wink! wink!* Fondly, Margie
