Reminisce

Reminisce

A Poem by Leo French
"

The days of a young child thinking of his life as a child. What are some of the things tha influenced his life?

"
Their are times I would think of joys as a child.
The simple pleasures unpretentious and madly wild.
Life was so simple you see, easily be all you can be.
One could play until the sun went down, no time for a frown.

Fruits never tasted so good sold from street carts all around.
The taste of red grapes by the handful I shoved them in.
Bananas by the bunches made me sing, it was kind of my thing.
Late at night I heard the outside rain spashing against window panes.

I pressed my face against the glass, wondering how long will it last?
I didn't want the rain to stop I loved summer rain, so simple and pain.
The sounds of rain drops echo in the air and I cold hear them everywhere.
The cycle of life comes to be we must allow new minds to dream free.
