Eight Ravens in a Cage

Eight Ravens in a Cage

A Poem by Touché Armada

You wouldn't believe me

a raft, a tall ship, flagging sanity

you shouldn't believe me

eight ravens materialised in the third floor cage

yet they did

they did

one died

further you shouldn't believe me

there will be nine more years of this

foremost believe me it’s no longer of consequence

for most.

Lovely and poignant. Very beautiful as always.

I felt we were in a cage during this past year...2020 spent caged....only difference was it was a lone Raven
clawing its way to sanity...
escaping the nest now has been a blessing....and getting close to the other ravens a godsend.
