Into the Distance

Into the Distance

A Poem by Artemisia
"

To someone in the distance of my youth

"

Into the Distance

I will disappear into the wind
and be swept away by the sea,
I will shine into the distance of your heart
and remind you that I am there,
waiting for you to come and hold me.

I will gather the ambiguities of my heart into separate pieces,
So that you can pick them up, one by one,
And collect them to fit the puzzle of your soul.

I will step into the silence of myself,
And become a fountain of words that only you will understand….

I am becoming that fountain, as I disappear into that world
of sadness and chaos that abounds the restless spirit of my youth.

I sometimes wonder how far we must walk away for them to realize the time has come to come and find us?
Again, my interpretation of writings has always been unique. I either end up looking at the piece in a whole or in parts.

Today my heart is somewhere else. Waiting and wondering. How many times have I laid down the pieces of my soul for someone to follow? For someone to collect them, love them, cherish them. To cherish me.

Your imagery brings tears to my eyes. Ahhh... to be a girl. ~soft chuckle~

Your words remind me of a blinding light. A light that only shines for one and you wait, and you wait, hoping that they'll come. Hoping that they'll see. You've paved the pathway with stars and all they have to do is follow the twinkling light.

I love your style. It flows and bends and ignites.
Soft and sweet, raging and powerful. You blend many elements quite beautifully. Finding their harmony rather than their chaos.

Exquisite.
