Heart of Cheating

Heart of Cheating

A Poem by Arundass TP
"

Cheating contaminates this world

"
Destroying, beautiful garden
barren;
Scorpions and Centipedes;
Poison;
Never ever feels others heart;
Warmth;
Moves behind the door;
Always;
Tracking others pleasures;
Pure

This is an amazing poem. Quite unlike anything I've read & that's high points in my book. It's a little surprising when your msg goes from negative to positive, but then the two halves are so balanced, it all feels like a natural juxtaposition, two sides of a coin. I've NEVER heard anyone use scorpions & centipedes to symbolize cheaters, but I can't think of more ugly & disgusting creatures. I try to heed the Buddhist creed to respect all sentient beings, but I simply cannot stand certain bugs. It's a remarkable talent to use just a couple words & conjure up so much palpable disgust, the reader feels like shuddering. Nicely done (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

To be honest, I'm entertained by your way of explaining. You are quite an unusual character in many .. read more

Great form, symmetry, cadence, use of language and imagery here ArundassTP. Deep symbolism of these creatures felt. On the surface benign, but venomous beneath as are cheaters-yes. Excellent write.

A pure pleasure to read this one.... How different emotion can entangle and observing merely one's own emotion can be treacherous

it is like two poems in one. The one word lines signify how pleasures might be pure, but only pure pleasure.
Loyalty and truth and love are given up when the cheating occurs.

Very true, cheating is a rotting taste of reality. Your poem really paints a picture in the reader's mind. I read this twice and liked it even more. tyfs

thank you friend.
Now I really follow this piece in its intention although I may be misreading it. I read the lines and assumed the following line single word described that line? I was then thrown by 'Never feels other's heart' 'Warmth' as I envisaged 'cold/ice' and also 'tracking other's pleasures' I could not associate the word 'pure' with?
