The way of the warrior

The way of the warrior

A Poem by ~Sarah~ Idríel The Fair

The grass is green and the sky is so blue,

and air is filled with the scent of the flowers

flowers so delicate and fragile.

It ends here - the way of the warrior;

under the sweet-scented, blossoming cherry tree

where rosy dreams I shall forever see!

I will not trespassing against our law

as throwing my weapon to the ground

nor will I surrender after crushing defeat!

The ancestors hear my cry and be with me!

The wind sighed silently as my heart was light as a feather.

It ends here - the way of the Samurai.

The sky is so blue and the grass is reddish green

with rosy flowers so delicate, under the

blossoming cherry tree.

A quote from Samurai teachings says;"For existence is impermanent as the dew of evening, and the hoarfrost of morning, and particularly uncertain is the life of the warrior…"! Your poetically descriptive write dutifully and beautifully captures the essence of this theme. Very well written ...!

Beautiful: 'The wind sighed silently as my heart was light as a feather.'

You create such lovely visions with your words - they're gentle, yet amazingly passionate. Surrender would become more of a negative than reality requires. Perhaps?.

A few minor grammar errors but somehow that makes your work charming and true.
