In the lands of Men

In the lands of Men

A Poem by ~Sarah~ Idríel The Fair

In the lands of Men

The last ship has gone / and Elrond went with it

Over the Great Sea / beyond the knowledge of Men

To the Undying Lands / and there he hears the song of the seabirds

I have made my decision / both bitter and sweet

And the long Years of Happiness / are in front of me!

But at the end

There will not be a happy reunion / of father and daughter

But of husband and wife / when Elrond meets my mother

And when she asks / ‘Where is Arwen, my beloved daughter?’

Elrond says;

‘Evenstar is shining now

Brighter than ever

In the lands of Men!’
