The wolves are gathering in here!

The wolves are gathering in here!

A Poem by ~Sarah~ Idríel The Fair

The day has gone, gone beyond
the red mountains and my heart
has grown restless, more than before.
The wind is on my back, north's coldness
makes me shiver, shiver deep to my blood and bones.

What was it?

The night has come, come beyond
the golden mountains and my mind
is yelling to the darkness, darkness
that wrap me in its embrace!

No more, no need to cry my little one.

The wolves are gathering in here!
They have come to you, for you
and because of thou!

The dusk has come, come beyond
the bluish mountains and my soul
is breathing, breathing the silvery rays
of the Mother moon and my body is
bathing under the cold, bright stars.

But for now - I am not a human anymore.

The wolves have gathered with me!

We are here, singing under the bridge of the Moon. The wind has changed and the morning draw near to us. A little, golden light behind the red mountains and the desert is howling its emptiness.

No anymore, no need to cry my dearest one.

The wolves are with you.

The opening to your poem is as mesmerizing a first stanza as I have read in quite some time Sarah. So much to consider and chew upon. A day passing to night, the red mountain with its tinge of regret perhaps, a heart restless, perhaps to its breaking point, north wind suggesting a ageing weariness, all the way down into the very marrow of one's self.
All of which sets up the rest of your grand poem: leaves one to ponder if you are addressing a child or perhaps metaphorically you own wants and desires. The line "the wolves have gathered with me" can be read as a fully formed awareness of one's own desires, of acceptance of what one really wants and is ready to seize from their life.
All in all a splendid read that I found most rewarding

Thank you for reading.
These silvery night wolves feel like angels of sorts, perhaps guardian angels. I love it. Very good imagery, It definitely grabbed my attention and I could feel your emotions. Screaming out, howling out into the cool night- unwittingly calling in the wolves. But for support. Surprising. -Brad Dehler .

Thank you for reading.
Nicely done
We live on the west coast of British Columbia where Wolves are a fact
Recently a documentary was released about Wolfs that are especially adapted to this area and its marine environment, called 'The Sea Wolfs' (?)( Netflix ?)which you might find very interesting.

Would be cool to be a wolf. Wolf are wise. Where I live in Michigan. In the midnight hours, they sneak into the cities. Feed and return to the forest. I worked the nightshift. I could see them running through the graveyard when going to work. Nice to be in a pack. Where there is safety in numbers. I enjoyed the poetry dear Sarah. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.
