Cancer what you are

an incarnation of the Devil

cursed upon my world

drenching it with sorrow

Tell me what you really are

an undying unbeatable immortal force

draining people’s hopes and dreams, makes you stronger by far

what you are, turning lively soul into lifeless corpse 

Now, let me tell you, what we really are!

an incarnation of god and heaven

blessed upon the world

showering the world with light

What we really are, feathers of angel’s wings

Together, the human spirit is unbeatable

peace and harmony we bring

Not today but maybe someday, we shall bring you to your judgment day.

Author's Note

I have not lost any loved one through cancer...yet, but I am about to lose one. This poem is dedicated to her. This is not a poem of sympathy, its a poem of will of the power of human will. Read on.
