IN HELL

IN HELL

A Poem by Asabrand

Constantly struggling against the blackness

dark as the night of ancient time.

Hate is there welling up within me,

Threatening to consume my mind,

Aided by the rage of the beast which grips my soul.

I am overwhelmed.

I can’t breathe, I can’t think,

My hands tremble with the passion of the damned

And my body rocks with a fever hot as the slag heaps of Hell.

The Pit gapes before me

Tears fall unbidden and unheeded

An inhuman scream of rage and despair rips from my throat

As I stare back at me from the Abyss.
