SINGLE CANDLES

SINGLE CANDLES

A Poem by Asderathos
"

Just another one of many shut in extravaganzas

"
What is the world but a den of knowledge?
Seeking practice from dormant abstraction
The dull lump
Reading words lips & eyes,
Closing his to seek which is not there
Breathing awake again to a terrible dawn
Forbearing untakable chances
Sinking into rooms lit by single candles
Praying to face welcome discomforts
That never come

CONTEMPLATIVE THINKING IN THE LINES OF THIS VERSE...YOU ASK A QUESTION IN THE FIRST LINE AND THEN CONTINUE WITH THE VERSE TO SEEK AN ANSWER TO THE MEANING OF IT ALL...AND YET STILL IN THE END ITS HARD TO FIND...
