Everybody's laughing

Everybody's laughing

A Poem by Ashentara
"

but then again...

"

Maybe I'm the only one laughing

Laughing at my own misfortune

my misguided desires and intuitions

aiming for something I'll never reach

it's not the first time

but it still aches just as much

when will I ever learn

You'd think having met my soulmate and lost him

I wouldn't be in that state now

I wouldn't  be pining for another one

and yet I am

but that other one loves me as a friend only

and though I thought we had soul-matey potential

it seems I've been wrong ever again

when will i learn

I so wish I could shield my fragile heart from all this

i wish...

~if only~this is such a great poem, and
a very grand ending full of acute wisdom,
which none of us shall ever learn ;)
"Wonderful piece"

Not full of very much imagery, but accurately describes your misfortunes. Thanks for sharing, girl.

It is hard to love someone who doesn't feel the same... when we are in pain we can tend to feel the whole world is against us... very deep and powerful expression of your feelings.
