Sea Serpent

Sea Serpent

A Poem by Ashira Macy

Those frozen ridges

Jut out of the swell

Like the spine of a

Great sapphire serpent

Curious of our minute vessel.

Light reflects off of fractals

Sending those shades of

Brilliant cerulean and frosted ivory

Into our stricken eyes

So we marvel in wonder.

Come, great dragon of the north!

Let us grasp you in all your glory!

Nay, you are too proud

So we see your rigid crest

And nothing more.

Still you are only perceived

As perfection incarnate.

Very vivid imagery you`ve swagged up.. with holding the warmed breath of yous to your fluffy heart. Liked the functioning of words; blue words (defining--sapphire eyes); Italic style (Giving rhythm to sea--serpents .. creeping into the fathoms of a wild wide indigo ocean. Your insights`re very deep and, of course, as adorable as you onself are. Enjoyed the write. Keep it up the excellent performance.

I think its great. No suggestions here. I like how this write seems to will be onto a vessel which can examine a huge, solitary creature.

Why, what was wrong with it?
THis makes me think of a real dragon with sapphire scales...like frozen waves getting ready to crash...

It made me think of one too. Thank you Marie.
Alaskan fever still on?? The vivid imagery here is stunning.. the way you describe the frozen ridges as serpents gave my mind a punch.. you floored me with this one. Your words do have a quality of the pre raphaelites. It is a trait i really admire in poets.. The enchanting scene of such exotic place filled me with awe.. :) well done girl.xoxo

A lot of sea or land serpents roaming around. Some humans like to be that way too. Excellent...:)......................

Yep. You are welcome...:)...................
Let us swim the sea side by side, let us marvel, let us wonder
Let us dance the sands, hand in hand, let us watch, let us roam
Let us fly through mist of night, let our fire burn as bright
Let the light play the night, let the sea, just be the sea

The Serpent swim, the crest and fall, let the ocean envelope all
Magnificent Dragon of the sky, let it bring us the star in our eye
Fantastic Serpent below, let it bring us a fire to grow
Great beast of sea and sky, let us swim, let us fly
Through oceans tide, Over tallest peak, Oh Great Serpents, hear us speak. By realmwriter 2014

Your pieces continue to inspire me, I thank you for that. Your piece is ethereal in way of which I can seldom capture in my own. I envy your ability to capture such fleeting moments of tenderness and joy and strength and wisdom, in a way that lets the reader develop a grand, picturesque feeling of enlightenment. Wonderfully done and masterfully penned.
