Like They Do In The Movies

Like They Do In The Movies

A Poem by ashleydawn

I can go so long without it
Without the desire, that wanting feeling
Perfected the act of letting go & not caring
Proving to the world that I'm fine
On my own
It's just every now and again
When I have to fight my twitching fingers
When a battle arises between my body and mind
and I feel a quite literal
tearing of my soul
Sitting in mere pain
Trying to control myself
It's only every now and again
That I crave touch
The feeling of your arms around me
Warmth surrounding
Your lips and mine colliding
Mistakenly
Just you
holding me
Like they do
in the movies.
