A dream to keep

You see something that makes you happy. And then you wake up to find out that it's gone...

I want us to be real

Then don't leave... Just don't go

Eyes wide open then shut again

The light outside burns the curtain's too thin

Fingers cross over my cheekbones my eyes

Exhausted and tired, no strength in me lies

The mood for today just rest let them burn

A certain obscurity makes my head turn

The morning takes long if onl' it were night

Then hours would fly and time would pass by

Forgetfulness wonderous seems like a dream

A goal to achieve so hard one could scream

For now all is gray with sadness and rage

A huge and strong urge, the need to change

I need to be else, someone just not me

A shallow of a person with nothing to feel

Free of emotions free of one's heart

Let everything go and make a new start...

Letting everything go and making a new start is a good way to reset the mind and let one focus on the future. If that thing that made you happy is no longer there where you are. But that inner struggle with emotions shows a person with passion, a person that could make a change in their life and others. "Exhausted and tired, no strength in me lies" But with all this emotion inside an awakening or a spark of inner fire needs to happen. Good poem, I enjoyed it! Got me thinking.
