Pressing Piano Keys.

Pressing Piano Keys.

A Poem by Karina Anderson
"

Author's Note.

"

Black on white; slim and slender.

Delightful sounds returns to sender.

Back arched, fingers bent, pressing down.

Mired explosion of beautiful sound.

Infectious tune draining from the player.

Piano tells the story, none could uncover.

Picking up speed; sound becomes refined.

Louder, with power, leaked from mind.

Out comes all the truth that none could say.

Musical infatuation, the need to play.

Reverberation; filling up sunken souls.

Till’ they are whole once more, reached goals.

Intricate finger movement, hypnotizing.

Draw the bridge to a close, realizing.

Pressing down piano key " free the music.

Express yourself: Take hold and lose it.

Author's Note

Karina Anderson
Music is a freeing, beautiful thing that is a big part of our all lives, of every generation, era, time period, kind of person, no matter there size, shape, color, ethnicity. Music is a uniting freedom. A liberty to our ears that is our God given right to have. Splendid, that's what music is.

I agree, Music is something that everyone can share and enjoy. I couldn't live without music even if I tried. I've drowned sorrow and anger and pain in music. I've let the music mingle with my laughter and coax a smile onto my face. The poem was beautifully put together and I truly enjoyed it. Good work, Karina, I am shelving this one. :)

A great poem! I think you captured the feeling of a lot of musicians when are playing...no matter what the instrument! Well done!

:) So pretty as I read, I just imagined the notes in the air floating so beautifully and peacefully as they created the sound in my mind.

I'm out of words! What should I say? A wow? Nah, wow is cliche! I should it's poptastic! I never thought poetry can give such a beautiful depiction on music! Really talented work!

A stubborn piece that refuse to let the read go until the very last line, I feel you have soaked yourself with the classic writings of times gone by, a very well written piece, good read.

Beautiful. Your words shine. The title first caught my attention and then all the rest for how you formatted it and chose the font, and your message is just so correct!
