The Sea on a Summer's Night

The Sea on a Summer's Night

A Poem by Celestine Astraea Firestorm

i stand

where the land meets the tide

i feel the salty water

as it rushes over my feet

i feel the sand as it disintegrates

beneath my toes

i see the starlit diamond sky

a perfect night for a walk on the beach

i sit down in the sand

letting the water lap at my skin

beckoning me to its waves

a cooling pulse streams through my veins

nothing can be wrong on a beautiful summer's night

such as this

The imagery in this is vivid and very much alive. I also enjoy the water on a summer's night. Well written indeed.
