The Bleeding

The Bleeding

A Poem by Allyson N. Jason

Rivers of blood
pouring over the earth
like sand falling from a cliff
I washed my body in these rivers
and it felt dirty
but I'm dirty
just like the blood
I was destined to bathe in
The blood is from the unborn
lives yet to exist
but lives already destined
to radiate sin
foul sin
The unborn are already damned
sin will continue to bleed through life
and cover the vulnerable spirits
of man and woman to be and current
red evil passion everywhere
There's no where to run
or hide
no where to be apart
blood everywhere
even within the thoughts of
individuals
