Skeptic Romantic

A Poem by NATO KRYVAVRY
"

A song I wrote at an earlier date for a songwriting workshop

"
V1:

I believe in dreamland but I live in this world
Guess I misread my Bible, I'm sorry
If I ever was impulsive and though I have my reasons
If I told you, I doubt you'd believe me
And I must say that

Pre-Chorus1:

You look like a dream when I can't get no sleep
Infatuation and a mild case of insomnia
I know what I want and right now you're none of it
But I sure don't mind if you would let me tell you

V2:

That you belong to dreamland and I don't live in there
But I've said that for most everybody
That I've had an interest in whether mild or sever
But I'm not always this shallow believe me
And I must say that

Pre-Chorus2:

You look like a dream when I can't get no sleep
Infatuation and a sure case of insomnia
I know what I need and though you were none of it
But I sure don't mind if you would let me tell you

Chorus:

Because they say too much apology will never make you relevant
But every time I pick my guts they say I'm being arrogant
I came and went, I cried and bent, I did what's necessary
If it doesn't make me happy it still wouldn't make me sorry and

They say too much apology will never let you love at all
But every time I pick my heart they say that I have too much gall
I lost and then I tried again, do over I'd still gladly fall
I wouldn't make me sorry if it doesn't get me anything

Or if it doesn't get me you
