Law and Peace

After hear the events that has happen in the past couple of day, I decided to write this poem out of inspiration.

Officers serve the law 

They are human beings 

Just like us 

With feelings and emotions 

They just want to do good 

At what they do 

When an officer makes a fatal mistake

out of hate 

It divides the community 

Like a math equation 

What the community wants 

is change in the system 

A perfect solution 

for a natural conclusion 

Killing an officer out of hatred 

shows the hate 

But it doesn't clam the fire down 

It only makes it stronger 

If you put a bullet 

into the police 

Your'e not only putting it through the window 

But through the heart of our nation 

Show them a different solution 

Not through hate 

But through love 

For love holds the community together 

Like a bow holding a present together
