To Heal The Wounded King

To Heal The Wounded King

A Poem by Ani Ashford

Etherial, My Heart.
Come, within the transformation be,
with the blessings of your smile
so like the moon's glow from sun's day.
Spirit dancing complete the circle, time
from time began. From early morn
until Auf's realm, beguile.
Here the star-beam comes to bring
healing to the wounded King.
Priest and man, his voice
in invocations to our Goddess sing.
With shield and sword he holds truth
now and time to be, a while.
How strongly does the heart
beat? The drums are throbbing
in meritorious sum;
Harmony in a not so distant hum.
Come, within, the transformation be,
with the blessings of Her smile
so like the moon's glow from sun's day.

I like the connections you make to the suns healing rays and how it is the light of the day sun which makes the moon glow. The two working together. The father and mother spirit shining together from two faces.
I also can nearly hear the beating of the drums encouraging the beating of the heart to bring back the King from the edge of the veil between worlds and towards this world where the pulse runs through the planet and our bodies.

Great use of the images and symbols here too! The moon and the sun that provides rebirth through their rays......Yes, definitely poetic!!!!
