Pen Test #1

Pen Test #1

A Poem by Benyoucef

As I'm going through my desk drawer to look for the perfect pen, you're gonna have to bear with me a little and enjy

I wouldn’t hide my mind inside

These lines so you would say “he’s smart”

I’m not that deep or that intense

I’m just the guy who coughed his heart

It’s not for you to read or praise

It’s just for me to see my soul

This is the way that it should be

So break that mirror on your wall

There is no talent or a gift

It’s only how you show your mind

That’s why a tear outlives these lines

For all around me says I’m blind

Why would I write if no one is

a better poet than the world

That’s why we listen hard because

we only write what we are told

Don’t pay attention to these lines

I’m just giving my pen a test

Sadly it writes then I’m afraid

I’ll throw it out with all the rest

This is amazing! Bravo! This could be hung in a fame and called a peice of art. All artists would agree but only a true poet would call it a pure peice of delicate work.

Ain Oussera, Djelfa, Algeria

A poet even when I'm not holding a pen, because life is that colorful and emotional, just know where to look more..
