In Quitting

In Quitting

A Poem by Brad Dehler
"

Brief yet complex, hopefully these poems speak for themselves

"

In quitting,

            One lays one’s power down

            To weakness

The power exists

But the weak

            Have lost recognition

So this caught my eye… probably because it could be debated. Perhaps one could simply get frustrated and quit, not willing to try or recognize their own strength to overcome. But maybe their are times when quitting is the best thing for the soul… hmmmm 😊 Nice write full of questions!

And so the question is answered. Should have started at the end of your beginning. Your brief poems pack a punch. This one is profound. The weak inherited the Earth and got lost in the power of cognition and realized the best thing to do was quit. I see what you're writing.

Thank you William! I like where your mind goes on this one. The profundity is not lost on you
I like this a great deal Brad. No mean feat to write so incisively and succinctly. Intricate and lyrical. Brilliant

👏👏👏Yes, most people quit because they don't recognize their power.

I love how much power this holds in such few words, very nicely written. Those that quit will never see their true potentials or achievements, which is rather unfortunate.

I like short pieces that are packed with excellent philosophy as this piece is...
complexity in the simplicity...nicely done.

Don't give up...don't ever give up-Jim Valvano
I really like this poem... again simple but profound
I'm stuck a bit on "recognition", maybe "the weak have lost their voice"
Perhaps change "One lays ones" to "One lays power down"
Nice job, Brad
