HELP

A Story by Titilayo Sarah Eguridu
"

Lamentations

"
How did I get here?
I am hungry,tired,and bruised
I try to pray but my throat is perched
My mind fumbles...thanks to the fog in my head
The cold air slices through the thin fabric my shirt is made of
I who was once the toast of this city...has no one to talk to

All my friends have deserted me
Who can I call?
Where do I go?
What do I do?
When will this nightmare end?
Why me?

I let out a loud cry.
Help me God!
If you’re there.
Help me!
I’m at my wits end.

I can feel so much volume of emotions in this write. You have an amazing way of connecting to the reader with your words. It's a pleasure to read your poems. Having the ability to converse is not enough, you have to know how to express yourself, and you do this very well. tyfs
