I'll see

I'll see

A Poem by Jane Matt
"

What if I don't want to be obvious? Lies can catch up to you.

"
What if I don't want to be obvious?
Lies can catch up to you.
I think we're all kids at heart,
that's why I still laugh at unnecessary squawking
I wonder if they'll remember that
while they crucify me
Some people think they can weasel
their way into your mind
They're conniving, planning-
just waiting for you to plummet from heaven,
All the while under the guise of righteousness
I don't blame them though,
 isn't that in our dna?
This is probably a statue; caring is a statue.
we presumed it possessed a pulse-
when it's only a chunk of rock.
A sailor pulled me from the waves,
but I never really wanted to stop swimming
