Nope.

not going to do it.

I am not going to write a poem about love. 

I shant write a piece about loss. 

The world has enough of that

I  don't need to add to it. 

So I won't be writing about

How this bed is too big now.

How I still sleep on the right side.

How I rearranged the room to forget how it looked when.....

How some places trigger all the waterworks without warning.

How I still don't regret buying the ring.

How I still don't regret not taking it back. 

How we feel like we lost a family member. 

How picking up the pieces isn't the same as putting them back together. 

How I have to avoid musicals now. 

How house hunting has become depressing. 

How much I hate inspirational memes. 

 

How much my mother misses you. 

Nope. I won't be writing about any of that. 

Instead. 

I will write about puppies. 

Everybody loves puppies.

Hi Brandon. I love this poem! I love how you've used a comical and yet sad theme to tell this story. We all have different experiences but many would recognise a version of this story in our own lives. It's really well written.
And yes, everybody loves puppies.
