Scrap Metal Heart

short rhyme. listening to In This Moment

Light,
let me be your vermin
Dark, let me leave you to the moon
I'm disease, I know you can cure it
Just dominate me with your Truth

Light,
I'm your experiment
A rat in a cage; I can bear your psalm
Tranquilize me while I'm still worth it
And sterilize this scrap metal heart

when I read it, it drips emotion.
I don't know, you probably won't feel it.

The imagery in this poem is brilliant. I also appreciate your use of vocabulary; it helps in setting the mood. As a whole, the poem keeps the mind going as it is both enticing and original. The flow is fantastic and I feel the struggle of the protagonist throughout. I deeply enjoyed this poem, great work!
