Again

Again

A Poem by Balkaran Sidhu

My morning tea, today
tasted infuriating salt
I tasted it again,
to find the ash of your memory.

How strangely has it entered
my room again.
The strainer can’t filter out the ash

I must throw the tea away
And lock my doors tight
before the blanched winds fill my throat
and choke me with your thoughts,
Again.
