Bullets

Bullets

A Poem by Bane

The hammer falls

The powder ignites

A significant end to an insignificant fight

It wasn’t for money

It wasn’t for food

It wasn’t for honor

Or to prove what’s good

A point of a finger

An exchanging of looks

A misunderstanding

That’s all it took

It took a life

So pure and so new

Naïve of the world

And the evil it brews

All gone in a second

A flash and a pop

An explosion of violence that no one could stop

All over nothing

Wrong time and wrong place

The cut of your jacket

The look on your face

A life brought to end

By a coward so bold

Fear loaded the rounds

In the weapon he holds

A click of the trigger is all that it took

All over nothing

A misunderstanding

A jacket

A look

Loved this. It had awesome flow and an all to common truth to its premise. Good Job!
