Shattered Reflection

Shattered Reflection

A Poem by Mystical Ink
"

Overcoming insecurities tied to self-image by metaphorically breaking the mirror of doubt and embracing inner strength and self-acceptance.

"
In shadows deep where fears reside,
A mirror reflects what we cannot hide.
If your insecurities lie in what you see,
Break it and eat it, set yourself free.

Shattered shards of doubt and fear,
Consume them all, let them disappear.
For in the broken glass, you'll find,
A strength reborn, a liberated mind.

No longer bound by reflections’ lies,
You rise above, your spirit flies.
With each piece swallowed, power grows,
In the ruins of the past, a new you glows.

Embrace the change, embrace the night,
For through the darkness comes the light.
If your insecurities lie in what you see,
Break it and eat it, and simply be.

Sometimes a write becomes cathartic in its essence; helping the writer fathom and navigate their emotions to a place of healing. This seems like such a write. I enjoyed the read.

When in the deep shadows of sorrow there is pain in yourself which you must release in order to become enlightened once more……free yourself from lies and fears…once you’ve been reborn…. Your strength will help out of the dark abyss

This poem is an evocative idea of introspection and saving one's own soul and free it of the shackles it seems or it is shown by others, absolutely love the raw idea of 'eating up your insecurities that you see' there is strong encouragement here, to lift oneself, love the strength this poem is depicting and it's boldy expressed in your rhymes, truly am glad to read this poem as so many would have been, this poem lifts a heart, it's warming and adrenaline inducing that there is nothing one can't overcome, our world starts changing when we start changing, loved this poem dear fellow poet!

You're very welcome!
Whenever I write a rhyming poem I try to keep the syllable count in a strict pattern. Although the counts here vary, the poem still flows effortlessly. The message is inspiring to say the least. I love the metaphors you've used in this too. This is top notch writing. Bravo, High Priestess. :)

The above lines. We must become. Like what we do, like our face. Thank you dear poet for sharing the amazing poetry.
