Nocturne

Nocturne

A Poem by Barry!

There is something lost in shadows that no day's light returns

When candles flicker 'gainst the wall it's not just wax that burns.

Faces sculpted by a flame are easier to view

Concealed, revealed, soft and orange - somehow better than when true.

The moonlight paints a liquid scene of greys and blues and brown

Reduces towering oaks to ash, removes the threatening town

And when no moon the stars ablaze - a light but almost no -

Dull the sharp edges of night in persistant futile glow.

over 20 years old, thats awsome, the title is captivating barry, the graphic embues the perfect
hue, your words have a shadowy, mystique about the ambience, as the imagery captures the
candle's flickering glow, one can se the moonlight painted in your words, there is a natural
classic ambience to the passionate, delving, mysterious flow, many great lines, hard to choose
a favorite, the meaning tells that of night's divine touch, hiding dark secrets of the heart.

Very pretty.
It's very visual, especially for having been dusted off without revisions-- you should be proud!
