Freddie and the Teddy

Freddie and the Teddy

A Poem by Baz
"

Little Freddie saves a teddy he sees in the river

"

Little Freddie saw a teddy who was floating down the river.

Little Freddie saw the teddy give a little teddy shiver.

“I am coming, Little Teddy!” Little Freddie gave a shout.

And Little Freddie grabbed the teddy and pulled Little Teddy out.

“Oh let me thank you Little Freddie!” Little Teddy said with glee.

“For Little Freddie stopped this little teddy floating out to sea.”

“You are most welcome, Little Teddy”, Little Freddie did reply.

Then Little Freddie put the little teddy in the sun to dry.

Little Freddie asked the little teddy how it came to be

That Little Freddie saw the little teddy floating out to sea.

“Well I was looking at the water” Little Teddy did begin.

“When Little Teddy lost his footing and this teddy tumbled in.”

“That is a most amazing story” Little Freddie said at last.

“And it’s a good thing Little Freddie saw the teddy floating past.

Had Little Freddie not seen Little Teddy you would surely be

A very soggy Little Teddy who is halfway out to sea.”
