because sometimes
we need something new and exciting
huge and terrifying
refreshing and inviting
it's not that something's wrong with where I am
it's that something's right where I'm not
and I have to go there
if only for a day
because horizons are meant to be expanded
and my muse refuses to be fed by the hum drum
lest it be left in the doldrums
of what has become ordinary
it's craving something contrary
and it's the perfect sunrise for a car ride
we'll be headed back on a sunset
pack a couple things
release all your dreams
strap on some wings
and fly with me
life will be here when we get back
