A Poem by Scarlet Pulse

When you don’t grasp him, the situation, or his love

And take advantage,

Feeling like he wasn’t there when he really was

Not knowing what life is like without him.

When you lose the mind which yours thinks from

It’s oblivion.

Where to start, where to finish.

How to let go, how to move on?

Never thought you would have to go there

To the steepest point of loneliness

To the highest point of depression

Where you don’t know what to do with yourself

And plainly can’t without him.

What an interesting image: "...the highest point of Depression..."
I am always a little troubled when I read of a young woman who has so utterly subsumed her identity in a guy that the loss of him seems almost to nullify her. I hope this is not a true reflection of your present state, that it is a piece of writing, not an autobiographical essay. But at least I can identify somewhat with the confusion you seem to feel. Having lost one wife to cancer and another to divorce, "oblivion" is a mindset I AM acquainted with!

I really enjoyed this poem; it was a whirlwind read. I suggest a little punctuation to help pace things out a little better. Lines marked by punctuation may be better served with line breaks or other types of spacing to emphasize rhythm. Either, or. A mere suggestion. Thanks for sharing!
