HOLIDAYS ARE ABOUT FAMILY

Holidays are about family and the comfort and joy they bring
Gathering to renew the bond of ancestry of which bard's sing
The energy and sense of wonder the newest generation shows
And the respect and the wisdom the oldest generation knows
Past generations brought back to life in memories and tales told
The true spirit of the Christmas holiday we embrace and behold
Well wishes for happiness and good health offered to one and all
Hoping goodwill spreads and grows to prevent mankind's downfall

Thank you for the kind review, I normally write humorous Christmas poems because I like to give everyone the gift of a smile. This year I had family in the hospital and the experience and strength of family was to impressionable to not write about :~)
